The North Africa Journal – November 3, 2017 – Algeria’s top diplomat, Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel has shown very little diplomatic skills, when he recently accused Morocco of laundering “hashish” money during a debate held at the summer workshop of the Algerian Business Leaders Forum (FCE) in Algiers. “Morocco launders hashish money though its banks across Africa. Many African leaders attest to this” he said, adding “Royal Air Maroc (the main Moroccan airline) does not only transport passengers”. These statements were made after a member of the audience addressed Morocco’s leadership in the region on the business front.
