The North Africa Journal is looking to engage independent sales representatives to focus on promoting subscription sales and marketing into enterprise clients, including academic and corporate libraries as well as government accounts. NAJ is looking to expand into these markets in North America, Europe and Asia (specifically Japan, South Korea and China). Candidates are self-employed salespeople who will be involved is such tasks as networking at conferences and trade events, selling the unique features or benefits of an NAJ subscription, and negotiating prices or terms of sale contracts.

Specifically, the work will focus on:

  • Identifying Prospective Customers
  • Developing Accounts with Clients
  • Advising Customers on Product Benefits
  • Negotiating Terms of Sales
  • Following Up with Clients
  • Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommending changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
