Moroccan Truck Drivers and Spanish Tourists Freed After Kidnapping in Burkina Faso and Southern AlgeriaF

Four Moroccan truck drivers, kidnapped over the weekend by an armed group near the Burkina Faso-Niger border, were freed Tuesday in Niger after several tense days in the Sahel. Meanwhile, Tuareg militants in Mali announced the release of a Spanish national kidnapped near the Algeria-Mali border, now in good health and under their protection, awaiting transfer to Algerian authorities.
