Four Moroccan truck drivers, kidnapped over the weekend by an armed group near the Burkina Faso-Niger border, were freed Tuesday in Niger after several tense days in the Sahel. Meanwhile, Tuareg militants in Mali announced the release of a Spanish national kidnapped near the Algeria-Mali border, now in good health and under their protection, awaiting transfer to Algerian authorities.
